Uzbekistan will create a nuclear medicine center

Vaib.uz (Uzbekistan. June 22). On the fields of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, an important agreement was signed between the Uzatom agency and the Berezin Medical Institute.

The document provides for the creation of a modern nuclear medicine in Uzbekistan with the participation of the Ministry of Health.

Nuclear medicine is a section of modern medicine, in which radioactive isotopes are used for diagnosis and treatment. With the help of such technologies, it is possible to detect cancer early, track metastases, pointedly destroy tumors and treat complex diseases without resorting to traumatic operations. The center will have the latest diagnostic and therapeutic equipment, including positive-emission and computed tomography systems, magnetic resonance visualization devices, as well as installation for radionuclide therapy. It is also provided for the creation of its own laboratory for the production of radiopharmaceuticals, which will ensure the autonomous work of the center and reduce dependence on imports. This step is not just investing in high -tech medicine, but also a breakthrough in the fight against cancer and other serious diseases. Nuclear medicine allows you to detect diseases in the earliest stages and conduct a point, sparing treatment. The opening of such an institution will be a significant step for the entire health care system. This will enable the Uzbekistians to receive complex medical care on the spot without going abroad. Thanks to early diagnosis and effective treatment, the quality of life of cancer patients will increase, mortality will decrease, and the system of medicine itself will reach a fundamentally new level.
