Uzbekistan starts production of antiviral medical coveralls

Textile workers of Uzbekistan have started production of protective medical coveralls based on 100% cotton hydrophobic fabric. The product is based on the technology that gives cotton fabrics special protective properties.

The innovation is created by the joint venture "Cotton Road", which is part of the Association Uztextilprom.

Under an agreement with CHT GmbH (Germany) and CHT Switzerland AG (Switzerland), the company has mastered the latest European innovative development "HeiQ Viroblock". This is an antiviral and antimicrobial technology for the production of protective suits from cotton fabrics impregnated with a composition with microparticles of silver ions in combination with a special vesicular component.

Silver ions attract oppositely charged viruses and instantly bind to their sulfur groups, then the vesicular component destroys the virus. This new technology allows for a short 5-10 minutes of time to actively destroy pathogenic secretions of SARS-CoV-2, which makes such coveralls more effective than currently used.

This innovative technology was developed in Switzerland specifically for the production of active anti-virus tissues.
