Nephroplus to open four dialysis clinics in Uzbekistan
At a conference on Thursday, Finance Ministry of Uzbekistan announced Nephroplus as its private partner for the provision of high-quality dialysis services - the largest and fastest-growing provider of dialysis services in Asia.
Nephroplus has won the tender for the financing, construction, equipping, training and management of four dialysis clinics in the city of Tashkent, the Republic of Karakalpakstan and Khorezm region to provide vital services to more than 1,000 dialysis patients.
βThe Uzbek government is committed to expanding access to quality and affordable medical services,β said Uzbek Finance Minister Timur Ishmetov. "This collaboration will help modernize healthcare services and expand access to quality dialysis treatment for patients across the country."
In particular, the project will greatly benefit patients from rural areas as Nephroplus will launch peritoneal dialysis practice in Uzbekistan for the first time. Peritoneal dialysis treatment allows patients to receive dialysis treatment at home, reducing travel time and family costs. Thus, access to dialysis therapy will be extended to rural and remote areas, which is an important innovation for the country.
The PPP agreement with Nephroplus is expected to be signed within 30 days.
