The 30th Anniversary Tashkent International Healthcare Exhibition – TIHE 2026 was held on a grand scale from April 28 to 30, 2026, at the CAEx Uzbekistan Exhibition Complex.
Event organisers: International Exhibition Company Iteca Exhibitions, and its partner ICA Eurasia Group.
Since its early years and throughout its history, TIHE has consistently been the platform of choice for the world’s leading manufacturers of medical equipment and technology. Over the past 30 years, TIHE has attracted more than 4,000 companies and brands from 55 countries, and has welcomed 194,448 professionals as visitors.
Over 300 companies and brands from 20 countries took part in TIHE 2026: Azerbaijan, Republic of Belarus, China, the Czech Republic, Germany, India, Italy, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, the Netherlands, Pakistan, Poland, Russia, Republic of Korea, Turkiye, the UAE, the USA, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan. The event was attended by 8,410 unique visitors, accounting for 11,354 visits, including repeat visits.
This year’s exhibition featured a wide range of national pavilions, including those from China, Germany, India, and Latvia, whose participants showcased the advances made by the medical industries of their respective countries. Companies from the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation (Moscow region, Saint Petersburg and the Republic of Tatarstan) were collectively participating in the exhibition.
Representatives of the exhibition’s official sponsors, former healthcare sector leaders, international experts, ambassadors, representatives of the diplomatic and trade missions of participating countries, members of the media, and speakers from the exhibition’s business programme gathered to mark the anniversary edition of this key professional event in the medical sector. Among the guests of the official opening ceremony were Elmira Basitkhanova, Deputy Minister of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan; Zafar Kasimov, Deputy Director of the Agency for the Development of the Pharmaceutical Industry; Alisher Temirov, Director of the Centre for Pharmaceutical Product Safety; Mukhabbat Askarova, Chair of the Association of Representative Offices of Foreign Pharmaceutical Companies and Manufacturers in Uzbekistan; Adham Khasanov, Chair of the Uzbekistan Dental Association; JT Youn, Chairman of the Korea International Beauty Industry Trade Association (IBITA); Professor Jamshid Alimov, and Director of the Centre for the Development of Professional Qualifications of Healthcare Workers Khabibulla Akilov.
Alongside the TIHE 2026 exhibition, a comprehensive business programme was held on ‘The Synergy of Beauty and Health’, with Chernogolovka acting as a silver sponsor under its GIPOPO brand – a manufacturer of baby food.
The programme featured scientific and practical workshops, thematic sessions, presentations and professional discussions involving leading international and domestic experts, and attracted keen interest from numerous visitors and exhibition participants thanks to its engaging topics and distinguished speakers. The main focus was the digital transformation of medicine and the practical implementation of modern technologies in the healthcare system.
The anniversary TIHE 2026 was memorable not only for its large-scale exhibition and extensive business programme, but also for its special atmosphere of professional networking opportunities. Over the course of three days, the exhibition venue served as a platform for representatives of the international medical community, decision-makers, manufacturers, distributors, industry associations and experts from related sectors. Participants noted the high level of organisation, the quality of business contacts, keen interest in the Uzbek market, and ample opportunities for developing partnerships. The impressions of guests and exhibitors once again confirmed TIHE’s status as a key platform for the region’s medical industry.
Elmira Basitkhanova, Deputy Minister of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan:
– 30 years is not just a milestone, it is a special occasion and a tradition in Uzbekistan: the equipment and technologies showcased at this exhibition over the past three decades have helped advance clinical medicine, contributed to saving lives and enabled the diagnosis of millions of the country’s citizens. It is particularly important that at TIHE, young specialists see the latest innovations in healthcare before they appear in international medical journals. They can see and test new equipment in action, which inspires them to improve their skills and stay abreast of cutting-edge technologies. Here, at this single venue, the two key elements of effective medicine come together: highly qualified specialists and the latest equipment.
Kouta Sasaki, General Manager of Overseas Sales Department at OG Wellness Technologies, Japan:
– We have become the first Japanese company in the field of rehabilitation and physiotherapy to establish a presence in Uzbekistan. The country is currently undergoing significant reforms, and we see a real need: the equipment in many hospitals and clinics is outdated. That is why our mission is to bring high-quality Japanese rehabilitation technology into the country. Visitor interest in our stand exceeded all expectations – it was the first time many had seen our products, which speaks to the market’s enormous potential. We are highly determined and believe there is great potential here for the development of our business.
Cornelia Limbach, Project Manager at IEC Inter Expo Consult GmbH, German National Stand:
– The German pavilion has been participating in TIHE for several years now, and we continue to see consistently high interest in the market. Every year, participants find new partners here. Half of them are regulars who return year after year to strengthen their contacts. However, each year, new players come along that are just breaking into the market and are looking for distributors and partners. TIHE is the best platform for such purposes and the first point of entry into the market for German medical companies wishing to be present here.
Jadviga Neimane, Senior Project Manager at the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia:
– The Latvian national stand is taking part in TIHE for the second year, and we can see how the exhibition is growing: last year we came with four companies, this year there are already eight. There are also noticeably more trade visitors. Our entrepreneurs are very pleased – they are in the process of securing good contracts, and we hope that Latvian goods and solutions will become increasingly represented in the Uzbek market.
Pavel Lisovsky, PhD in Economics, leading economic expert on the pharmaceutical market in Russia and the CIS countries:
– The TIHE business programme offers a unique opportunity to observe the entire commercial pharmacy market in one place: pharmacy chains, distributors and pharmaceutical manufacturers. This provides the chance to establish contacts with all participants in the pharmaceutical market at once. The particular value lies in the synergy between the exhibition and the expert programme: when representatives from completely different sectors are present in the same room, questions and ideas arise that would never have emerged in a conversation with pharmacies alone or with manufacturers alone. It is a lively dialogue that opens up new avenues for cooperation, which is precisely why I plan to participate again.
The scale of TIHE 2026 was also reflected in its wide media coverage: the event was extensively covered by industry media, leading local and international news outlets, relevant government departments, international organisations, diplomatic missions and the exhibition participants themselves. On the project’s social media channels alone, the total reach amounted to 4,192,710 views.
Over the past three decades, TIHE has not only established itself as Uzbekistan’s leading medical exhibition but has also entered history as the country’s first international healthcare exhibition, paving the way for the development of the modern exhibition industry and professional dialogue with the global community. Today, TIHE remains the only medical exhibition in Uzbekistan to hold the UFI – the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry – international quality mark.
The traditionally high percentage of bookings has once again confirmed the effectiveness of this platform for businesses as a reliable, convenient and efficient tool for entering the Central Asian market.
Registration to participate in TIHE 2027, which will take place on 27-29 April, is now open.
