Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan has officially become a full member of the Global Harmonization Working Party (GHWP). This was announced at the 28th meeting of the GHWP, which is taking place in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia).

The meeting is attended by the Director of the Center for Pharmaceutical Safety of Uzbekistan, Alisher Temirov, who made a report on the topic “Ensuring quality control of medical products and medical equipment in Uzbekistan”.

In his speech, he focused on the events held in Uzbekistan to ensure the safety of medical products and equipment, and also emphasized the importance of international cooperation in this area.

It is important to note that the request of the Center for Pharmaceutical Safety of Uzbekistan for admission to the GHWP was unanimously approved by the organizers of the event, which led to the country's entry into this international organization.

The GHWP is a global structure that regulates pharmaceutical products and medical devices. Its goal is to harmonize global standards for the safety and quality of medicines and medical devices, as well as ensure their compliance.

Today, the GHWP includes regulatory authorities from more than 30 countries, including Europe, the United States, Japan, South Korea, China and other countries. Uzbekistan's accession to the GHWP will open up new opportunities for compliance with international standards, exchange of experience and joint resolution of problems in the field of regulation of pharmaceutical and medical products.
