TIHE 2023 - A REVIEW OF INNOVATIONS IN MODERN MEDICINE

The 27th TIHE 2023 Tashkent International Healthcare Exhibition - the flagship medical exhibition of Uzbekistan and the Central Asian region traditionally opens up its exposition for healthcare professionals in the spring - this year fr om April 13 to 15 at the Uzexpocentre NEC.

The event is organised by Iteca Exhibitions International Exhibition Company and its partner ICA Eurasia Group.

Healthcare is one of the most important aspects of the social life. Any advanced state considers development and effective functioning of this sector as one of the priority issues of concern for the well-being of its population. Regretfully, we have to admit that outbreaks of new and seemingly obsolete diseases have been recorded recently in the world. In this regard, the leadership of Uzbekistan pays particular attention to the development and strengthening of the public health system, while private medicine is also of great importance. A number of important measures have been taken to develop both public and private medical facilities, new drugs are being used, new methods of treatment and surgical operations are being introduced, and other capacity strengthening activities are underway to improve the skills of practitioners and medical stuff. Medical equipment, products, tools and materials imported by medical organisations from abroad are exempt from VAT and customs duties.

That is why, TIHE is the most effective venue for almost the entire medical community to explore the latest innovations and technologies. The value of the exhibition is difficult to overestimate; TIHE is not only the country's leading medical exhibition, founded in 1995, but also one of the first exhibition events in the modern Uzbekistan. This is the only medical exhibition in Uzbekistan that has gained a status of the event approved by the World Association of the Exhibition Industry (UFI). It is a unique platform wh ere experts of the medical community have the opportunity to get familiar with advanced medical technologies of the "last generation".

From year to year, the interest in the exhibition from domestic and foreign companies is growing. TIHE 2023 will host over 250 companies and brands from 13 countries, which have confirmed their participation in the exhibition, including: Bangladesh, Belarus, China, Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany, India, Italy, Kazakhstan, Republic of Korea, Russia, Turkiye, and Uzbekistan. In terms of the number of participants and exposition space, TIHE 2023 has surpassed the previous exhibition by 1.5 times. The exposition will be located in two central pavilions (No. 1 and 2), Atrium Hall 1 and Congress Hall.

The top three countries in terms of the number of participants included: China (99 companies), the Russian Federation (35 companies), Germany (13 companies).

The national stand of China is performing with a record number of participants, 99 companies will present a wide range of equipment for healthcare facilities, medical devices, equipment for dental practice, modern technologies for pharmaceutical industry, including advanced technologies for turn-key construction of production facilities.

Germany, for the second time, will be represented with a national pavilion supported by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection (BMWK) in cooperation with the German Exhibition Industry Association (AUMA) and the industry associations ZVEI and SPECTARIS. German manufacturers and designers of equipment using consistently high quality technologies, will perform under the brand "Made in Germany” and present new laboratory equipment, including MIKRO 185 microliter centrifuge, consumables, software-controlled medical technologies, a wide range of primary packaging materials for pharmaceutical industry, mediCAD® software to help orthopedists with diagnosis and surgery planning, and much more.

The Russian Federation is represented by 13 companies under the national brand “Made in Russia” and together with individual participants from Russia, will demonstrate to potential partners their unique solutions in the field of telemedicine, information technologies for routine work of doctors, and rehabilitation equipment. Experts will share their experience in implementing technology for both diagnosis and treatment of heart diseases, as well as present modern methods for analyzing medical information.

The following companies will take part in the national pavilion of the Czech Republic: Medical Union s.r.o., STOELZLE UNION, S.R.O., EGO Zlín, CODACO, PROSPON, and Alliance Laundry. They will present the most advanced medical technologies for healthcare facilities. During exhibition, it is planned to sign memorandums of cooperation with clinics of Uzbekistan at the National Pavilion.

Companies from Belarus will be represented by their collective stand. They will demonstrate a wide range of medicines, equipment and furniture for medical purposes, diagnostic equipment for cardiology and much more.

As many as 40% of the companies are debutants of the exhibition, among them ProSpon spol s.r.o. (Czech Republic), DeyMed Diagnostic s.r.o. (Czech Republic), Mediatrade s.r.o (Czech Republic), Andreas Hettich GmbH & Co KG (Germany), Biologische Heilmittel Heel GmbH (Germany), Selinus Medical (Turkiye), Analitik Kimiya (Turkiye), Square Pharmaceuticals Ltd (Bangladesh), WINBACK GO EAST Co., LTD (Republic of Korea), OmegaDent (Russia), Smartlife (Russia), Diara Plus (Kazakhstan), Scandinavian Medical Solutions (Denmark) and many others.

It is pleasant to note a large number of domestic exhibitors (59 companies), which will demonstrate a wide range of medical, pharmaceutical, laboratory, dental equipment and consumables. The majority of domestic companies are regular participants of the exhibition that is the most striking confirmation of the attractiveness and high professional level of the event.

Within the framework of TIHE 2023 exhibition, research and practice seminars will traditionally be held and many leading experts will share their knowledge and experience with representatives of the medical community of Uzbekistan. The topics to be covered by the seminars include clinically significant ESR determination - the Alifax method; DNBSEQ - MGI's new high-throughput sequencing method, reducing risks in the quality control laboratory (QC) of pharmaceutical enterprises; dynamic control of conventional health programs by DIANEL Complexes; microspherotherapy - an innovative direction in rehabilitation and prevention; GERMAN MEDICINE WITHOUT BORDERS - innovative methods of diagnostics and treatment in modern medicine; speech technologies of artificial intelligence with the support of the Uzbek language for digital interaction with patients and many others.

Also during the exhibition, presentations of technological innovations will be presented at the stands of Albatros Healthcare (Uzbekistan), Intermed Innovation (Uzbekistan), BTL Medical Technologies (Uzbekistan), Med Service Centre, LLC (Uzbekistan).
