The 24rd Tashkent International Exhibition Healthcare – TIHE 2019 will be held on April 16 to 18, 2019, at Uzexpocentre NEC, in Tashkent. The event is organised by Iteca Exhibitions, the leading organiser of international exhibitions and conferences in Uzbekistan.

Over the years of its history, TIHE has largely contributed to development of national medicine through its assistance in equipping the country’s private healthcare facilities and healthcare centres with modern medical devices. The industry professionals recognize TIHE as the country's main medical exhibition for its contribution to the modernization of healthcare institutions and capacity development of healthcare workers by making them aware of medical equipment innovations.

Today, TIHE still remains the key event for the medical community of Uzbekistan as it is a reputable professional platform to showcase the latest international achievements in the field of medicine and healthcare.

The numerous medical industry professionals are offered a unique opportunity to learn about the latest developments in the field of medical science and technology, as well as about different methods of treatment and prevention, and also to improve their proficiency and exchange experiences.

TIHE 2019 occupies three Pavilions, with the total area of 6,100 sq. m.; as compared to the previous year, it has extended by 40%.

TIHE 2019 is represented by the following technical sections: medical equipment; laboratory; pharmaceutical production equipment; finished medical products; dentistry.

As many as 250 companies from 22 countries have confirmed their participation, namely, Bahrain, Republic of Belarus China, Czech Republic, Germany, Israel, Japan, Kazakhstan, Republic of Korea, Latvia, Malaysia, Netherlands, Pakistan, Poland, Russia, Singapore, Switzerland, Slovakia, Thailand, Turkey, the USA, and Uzbekistan.

The economic reforms, in particular, in the field of healthcare, have significantly increased the interest of domestic and foreign manufacturers of medical and pharmaceutical equipment in the market of Uzbekistan. A number of regular exhibitors has been extended by a considerable inflow of debutant companies that present a wide range of medical devices and technologies to equip health facilities and the latest achievements in the pharmaceutical industry; instruments, devices, and various pharmaceutical products; preventive care, diagnosis, and treatment methods; and dental appliances and instruments.

The exhibition’s debutants include Moscow Export Centre (Russia) represented by 16 companies. The BIOMED Cluster Development Centre is represented by the enterprises from the Penza Region (Russia); the Export Centre of the Yaroslavl Region (Russia) is represented by the region’s producers. Supported by the Government of Bavaria (Germany), the Bavaria collective stand is making its debut in the exhibition, represented by 6 companies operating in the field of medical engineering in Germany. For the first time ever, the stand of the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan will be represented by all the major nationwide healthcare facilities of Uzbekistan. These facilities will come out with presentations made on the medical tourism potential of Uzbekistan, and also with the various disease prevention and treatment programmes. Along with domestic healthcare facilities, health centres from Georgia, Belarus, and Germany will present their services.

The foreign regular participants with their collective stands include those from the Russian Federation’s Novosibirsk Region and Republic of Tatarstan. For the second year in a row, after its successful debut participation, the Czech Republic National Stand is taking part in the exhibition, supported by the Ministry for Industry of the Czech Republic and the Czechtrade Agency; the stand is represented by 5 Czech companies. The key participants also include: Draeger (Germany), G.Heinemann Medizintechnik GmbH (Germany), Asclepion (Germany); worldwide renowned companies, namely, GE Healthcare (USA), Canon Medical Systems (Netherlands), Carefusion (Vyaire) (Netherlands), BTL Medical Technologies (UK), Samsung Medison (Republic of Korea), Olympus Medical (Japan), Neusoft (China), Osstem Implant (Korea), Mindray (China), Minskintercaps (Belarus), Lekhim (Ukraine), Belmedpreparaty (Belarus) , Amico (Russia), Altaivitamins (Russia), and other companies with various medical equipment and technologies presented at their stands.

This year, PRC companies take an active part in the exhibition, most of which present modern technologies for pharmaceutical production. Their activities cover the entire production cycle: from supply of raw materials for manufacture of pharmaceuticals to the turn-key facility construction.

The foreign exhibitors total 65% of the overall participants. Along with foreign manufacturers, domestic companies also take part in the exhibition, whose share makes up 35%. They include distributors and manufacturers of medical equipment – the partners of the world's largest manufacturers – and various health facilities.

At the exhibition, the companies will present a broad variety of equipment including modern diagnostic, laboratory, and physiotherapy devices; equipment for resuscitation units; technologies used for treatment and prevention of various diseases; disposable medical products and instruments; and furniture for health clinics and pharmacies.

The General Sponsor of the exhibition, the Ordamed Company (Uzbekistan), – one of the world's largest suppliers of Samsung Medison (Republic of Korea) innovative ultrasound diagnostic systems – has made a big presentation of its unique medical equipment.

The Exhibition Registration Sponsor, the Snibe (China), biomedical company engaged in development and manufacture of high-tech devices and in vitro reagents for global clinical laboratories, will welcome the numerous visitors. The official distributor of Snibe products in the market of Uzbekistan is Albatros Healthcare LLC (Uzbekistan).

The particular focus at the exhibition is on the professional business and practical events. This year, TIHE will present a diverse business programme, as follows:

•             April 16, 14:00 to 18:00: Conference on Affordable Medical Care and Increased Interest in Healthy Lifestyle: Recent Trends, Opportunities, and Solutions in Contemporary Society held by Commercial Vehicles - GAZ Group (Russia). Venue: Uzexpocentre, Expo Hotel.

•             April 16, 14:00 to 17:00: B2B meetings with DAMU Information Technology Centre (Kazakhstan), a designer of software for healthcare facilities. Venue: Uzexpocentre NEC, Atrium 2.

•             April 17, 10:00 to 17:00: B2B meetings with the delegation of Turkish healthcare organisations. Venue: Uzexpocentre NEC, Atrium 2.

For the first time, the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan will make its presentation on The Potential of Medical Tourism in Uzbekistan. The event will take place on April 18, from 10:00 to 16:00, at Atrium 2.

Within 3-day period of TIHE 2019, medical practitioners and general medical community will have an opportunity to personally learn about the products of foreign and local companies and assess the innovative products offered. The new knowledge gained at the seminars, as well as exchange of experiences, will contribute to improving the quality of medical services provided to the public.
